Recommended Mobile TV Software – Mobile TV Elite

The mobile tv software I use to get live streaming tv on my phone is Mobile TV Elite. I’m a fan of the service because it’s affordable and easy to use. If you’ve found another service that works well for you, then by all means use it, but I wanted to share my experience with software and give you an honest Mobile TV Elite review:

I have three reasons why I recommend Mobile TV Elite to anyone interested in mobile tv: (1) channel selection, (2) the program guide, (3) ease of use.

Let me talk about each…

1. The channel selection for Mobile TV Elite is vast – over 1,000 channels. I grew up with cable packages in the range of 100 to 250 channels (and I thought this was alot). Well, my mobile tv software blows pretty much all cable packages out of the water.

2. The program guide is really helpful when trying to figure out what to watch. It’s like the TV Guide Channel you may click to in your standard cable package. The program guide was extremely helpful because I had no idea what channels corresponded to which station when I first downloaded the Mobile TV Elite software.

3. Using Mobile TV Elite was not difficult at all. In less than 10 minutes, I was watching tv on my phone. When researching mobile tv software, I was worried I’d have to work with some complicated code or download a bunch of files. Fortunately, that wasn’t the case.

Now that I’ve talked about the positives, I’ll be honest and give you some negatives because I want to be up front an honest with you:

The biggest drawback is that you have to pay a monthly fee. When I was looking for mobile tv software, I guess you could say I was a penny-pincher and wanted free mobile tv. But ‘ol adage remains true – you get what you pay for. Even though I pay each month for Mobile TV Elite, it is well worth the price and is a tremendous bargain compared to standard cable bills.

Why I Switched to Streaming Live TV on My Phone

I’ve always had a love-hate relationship with my cable company. I was a military brat growing up so I moved a lot and one of the most frustrating aspects of settling into a new home was setting up the cable. The installation engineer always took forever to actually get the system set up and, if we wanted to enjoy a full array of cable channels, we had to pay a huge amount every month.

When I finally got my own place, I experienced the same frustrations, and the cable company (i.e. Verizon) was especially arrogant since they were the only cable company in my area. When I got my IPhone, I did a little research into mobile tv. To my surprise, mobile tv software wasn’t expensive and it was easy to put on my phone.

At first, I searched for free mobile tv, but I’ll admit I did sign up for a monthly service. But believe me, compared to my cable bill, it’s an amazing value. I also get access to over 1,000 channels, whereas my cable package is limited to about 250 channels. Mobile TV software is definitely worth the money.

Benefits of a Mobile TV App or Software

When I first thought about getting mobile tv, I hesitated because I’m not a tech guy capable of downloading complex codes. I also thought it’d be ridiculously expensive. Fortunately, I was mistaken on both fronts. You can find a mobile tv app and/or mobile tv software that is user-friendly and easy to download. It’s also a lot cheaper than I thought, way cheaper than my Verizon cable bill.

But the biggest benefit is access to tv anywhere I want. For example, I was taking a stroll down the street when news broke that Osama bin Laden had been killed. If I didn’t have mobile tv software on my phone, I would have probably rushed back to my apartment in order to watch President Obama make that historic announcement. Fortunately, I had my mobile tv app and was able to watch the president’s announcement while outside enjoying my walk. I happen to live near D.C. so I also saw reports about the celebrations outside the White House. When I heard that, I made my way down Pennsylvania Avenue and got to partake in thos amazing celebrations.

How Mobile TV Software Can Come in Handy

Imagine – you’re stuck in traffic and it’s quickly approaching 8pm. You don’t have a TIVO or DVR and are probably going to miss your favorite tv show. I had a similar experience recently when I got stuck in traffic (construction on Interstate 66) and knew I was going to miss the first half of game 2 of the NBA Finals between the Dallas Mavericks and Miami Heat. Fortunately, I had mobile tv software on my I-Phone and was able to watch the game while sitting in my car. It was great and helped the time go by while I was forced to sit in gridlock traffic.

This is probably the most noticeable example of the benefit of mobile TV - commuters stuck in traffic. It’s can also come in handy for those waiting for a train or taking a coffee break or even sitting in a cab waiting for a person along for the ride. I asked a cab driver what he thought about the service after I tested it during a ride in Washington, D.C.

He replied, “Nice, really nice, but I doubt I can afford it.” I told him that mobile tv software is not going to cost an arm and a leg. In fact, there are plenty of mobile tv services that are actually cheaper than paying $100-300 per month for cable tv.

Welcome to My New Mobile TV Blog

Hello,

Thanks for taking the time to visit my blog. I created this blog to talk about my experience with mobile tv and the various types of mobile tv software that is available on the market. I honestly think the stand-alone TV is a thing of the past and we’ll probably all be watching movies and shows on our mobile phones in the next 50 years.
